Nice work!

I get the feeling of your song. It's relaxing... If this is how your town is like: Calm, everything runs at it's own speed and isn't hurying in any way. Great!!!

Though, I'd really like to hear a little relaxing solo instead of those "love spirals downwards"-guitars at about 2:30 which later melts together with the themes you work before.
Unfortunately I don't know Eagle River so I can't tell if the crashes which come after the guitars at about 2:55 really fit, but considering the rest of the song it creates a quite strong tension which dissolves the atmosphere you built up earlier.
All in all 9/10 - 4/5

Great work! I really enjoy listening to it.

contraflow responds:

you are the type of person that motivates me to make more music, thank you

I see...

You like Phillip Glass a lot, don't cha?!^^

I like the way you combine different complex and unusual rythms in this song. Plus you did right with the delay. Most people tend to use way too much feedback on piano and everything starts to mess up. You have a clear defined the difference between wet and dry sound. The reverb also works very well on this piece of art.
At least I wanna say that I like the fact you used a very hard sound of piano since the title of your work is Broken glass.

Slaytesics responds:

Thanks, it is nice to see someone knows who Philip Glass is.

Composition vs. Mastering

Nice one^^

I see it can hepl you sleep.

But watching the song from the mastering, you put the sustain too long and in some moments the flow is heavily interrupted, when this loud sustaining guitar sound stops all in a sudden.

The composition is great. A song to listen to. It does not push into your ear, it flys by. The melody is constant and alows your mind to relax. Fine work buddy^^

cavenrm0608 responds:

Thanks for the review, I know what you mean though with the sustain pedal. It is something that I've been trying to work on. (still kinda new to making music and all that fun stuff).

Intercultural rape...

Not didn't just rape the tetris theme with this rmx you even pulled kalinka in this...

sorry man, but to do an remix you should at least be able to reproduce the notes of a track.

I know you were -or still consider you- being a newby, but that shouldn't protect you from any negative critics.
To be honest this rmx is crap. You made it in a spacial way listenable, but not for my ears.

I'll rate the rest of your songs later. Don't have time right now.

Keep practicing.

MomoSmoothie responds:

Negative criticism is fine, if it isn't a useless review with absolutely 0% constructive criticism.
Considering I made this years ago, having very little experience, yes - it's by far not the greatest remix, but giving the lowest possible rating and just trashing the song is low. Next time, something useful would be nice.

Amazing^^

Walking above a dream like the title suggests^^

I like this heavy kick you use in this song. Amazing play with the dynamism of the drum at all. Plus this heavenly lead^^ I like this song very much^^

S0LUS responds:

Thanks a ton for the review. I'm glad you enjoy the song! ^_^

Thx!!

Seriously!!! Thank you for that! This is just great! This kick's ass!!!

I'm a total Brave Heart fan and I love this parody!

omg I think I have to lay down, because I can't stand sitting anymore while I'm laughing like this!

XDXDXD

Respect man!!!

Organic-Cucumber responds:

We're glad you liked it, thanks for listening!

um...

Seriously, this is more like trance^^

But all un all well done. A little bit annoying when time passes by, because there isn't really happening anything. There are no up and downs. It is sounds just similar in every second of the track, you know?

mattuiop responds:

Well yeah I do agree with you, I been working on and off this track for some time and came out with a arrearage result.
thanks anyway, I will make a lot more exiting tune next time!

ps: OK i will change it to trance!

I hear VGM^^

Videogamemusic rythm with better quality of sounds^^ I like it!

Musical-Memoirs responds:

videogamemusic rithm...? (wish some game maker would use this song :P)
never really check those unless i know a videogame song wich im curious about if there are any good remixes...
but the big problem of those remixes are almost always the bad sound quality...
they yust place random sounds on places you should carefully think of wich sounds fit them

Maybe nace for a flash...

First:
The hihat is much too loud!

Second:
This is a song which indeed is fine for an animation here on newgrounds for a menu or as some backgrounding.

NeverHundred responds:

The high hat could easily be adjusted. Apparently I felt the same way while I was working on this because the high hat seems to be set surprisingly low, I'll check to see if there are any patterns that are set to have the high hits louder. But I somewhat agree, they could probably stand to be a bit quieter I guess.

Don't you think?

Don't you think this little fast parts aren't overloaded? Somehow in my ears it sounded as if there was too much you wanted people to hear, you know what I mean?
The begining was great, but when the synth begins it becomes quite unrecognizable which one of 'em should be the lead and wich one support.

I liked the floating parts! Really really awsome work^^

Manhart responds:

I was trying to make it interesting by making several melodies combined. But I fully understand how you feel about it. I will try and make a more focused version of it. It will be longer though. Thanks for the review :)
